Frequently Asked Questions

How often does the app sync?

You can sync manually anytime by tapping "Sync Now." If you enable background sync, the app will automatically sync at your chosen interval: every 1, 2, or 4 hours, or at specific times (10 AM, 12 PM, 3 PM, or midnight).

How far back can I sync my data?

You can import historical data from today only, the last 7 days, 30 days, 3 months, 1 year, 5 years, or all available data. Large imports may take time due to Fitbit's rate limits.

Will it create duplicate entries in Apple Health?

Fitness Data Sync won't duplicate its own data. -ach synced measurement has a unique identifier. However, duplicates can occur if data reaches Apple Health through multiple paths. For example, if you use another app that syncs to both Fitbit and Apple Health directly, you may see doubled entries. To avoid this, disable Apple Health sync in any apps that also write to Fitbit.

Why can't I sync Active Minutes?

Apple does not allow third-party apps to write Exercise Time to Apple Health. This is an iOS limitation, not a limitation of Fitness Data Sync.

Why does the sync pause sometimes?

Fitbit limits API requests to 150 per hour. If you're syncing a large amount of historical data, the app may pause and show a countdown timer. The sync will automatically resume when the limit resets at the top of the hour.

What Fitbit devices are supported?

Fitness Data Sync works with any Fitbit device or account, including Charge, Versa, Sense, Inspire, Luxe, and Fitbit Premium.
